About us

The company M/S OVERSEAS CONSTRUCTORS, member ”OVERSEAS GROUP” was founded in the year 1980 with the intention to undertake projects of major national importance requiring highest degree of technical capabilities with specialized engineering know-how, and equipment.

Later “OVERSEAS INTERTNATIONAL INCORPORATED”- USA came in to existence as wholly owned subsidiary of “OVERSEAS GROUP”.

The company members and the key management constitute upon highly qualified and experienced Engineers having vast experience in the company’s core business activities, like construction of Dams, Power Plants, Ports & harbors, Bulk water Supply System, Water - Sewage Treatment & Reuse, Irrigation & Hydraulic Structures, Highway & Bridges, Ground Water Resources Development, Dredging & Reclamation, Beach Development & Shore Restoration, Marina Maintenance , Environmental Remediation & Pollution Control . The Company has undertaken very successfully a large number of projects of very substantial magnitude.

The Company is fully equipped with a large fleet of equipment and machinery Particularly required at projects like Dame & Hydro-Electric Power Station, Thermal Power Station, Harbors & Jettys, Irrigation, Marine & Hydraulic Structures. The company also acquired special Plants & Machinery such as complete system for under Water Repair and re-concreting in running water, Consolidation & Curtain Grouting System, Special Micro dredgers in addition to the conventional Cutter Suction, Horizontal Auger and Bucket Dredgers, Special Anchoring System for Slope Protection & Rock anchoring, Electronic Leakage Detectors, Equipment for observation monitoring and remedial works against un-equal settlement, Complete vessel for under water depth measurement, using both Gravity Tubes and Echo Sounders, Equipment for routine maintenance of River & Sea Water Intake Channels of Thermal & Nuclear Power Station and Irrigation canals.

In addition to above, the company is also equipped with all necessary plants &equipment required for general Civil and Mechanical works.

During the period of over 33 years and ever since of its existence, the company has very successfully undertaken a large number of projects of substantial magnitude, throughout its business territories , to the entire satisfaction of its clients and none of the company’s contracts were ever terminated nor there were any disputes or litigation with any of the clients.

There exists a number of Technical Collaboration and Joint-Ventures arrangements with leading International Engineering & Contracting Companies. The Group Companies enjoy fine reputation across US, Pakistan and other territories with sound financial standing.

GOVERNMENT OF SINDH. M/S. BALFOUR INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING ENGINEERS . ENGLAND.

Excavation in phulaly canal up to 10 Meters depth from existing ground level including lifting and disposal of earth.

De- silting, Consolidation Grouting and commissioning of 04 Nos. 2.5 X 2.5 M Steel Penstock Gates at Phulaly Canal Jamshoro, District Dadu Sind.

HYDERABAD DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.

Excavation and disposal of earth for installation of Hydro Pneumatic N.C. system at HDA Pump House Inlet Structure.

WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE PROJECT HYDERABAD.

The work was inclusive of drilling of bore holes in sub-surface strata including fabrication & installation of a huge M.S bar screen up to 35 feet depth in running water.

KARACHI WATER AND SEWERAGE BOARD. 45 MGD FILTER PLANT.

Special sub surface stabilization work was carried out at Filter Water Channel of 45 MGD FILTER PLANT, KW&SB. The work had to be carried out in high velocity running water. In order to meet the special requirement of work, our special Consolidation Grouting System was deployed and special high pressure steel jackets and Packers were installed to achieve the prime objective . Upon completion Hydrostatic test was successfully carried out.

KARACHI WATER & SEWERAGE BOARD.70 MGD FILTER PLANT AT COD.

De-silting and Micro Dredging for 02 Nos 150 Feet Diameter, Filter plant Clarifiers at 70 MGD COD Water Purification Plant. Due to special nature of work, our electrically driven Micro Dredgers Model CHT-5 and CHT-5B were deployed. As a result huge quantity of silt was dredged out in a very short time.

KARACHI WATER & SEWERAGE BOARD.70 MGD FILTER PLANT AT COD.

Repair, Maintenance and complete over-hauling of 2 Nos. 150 feet diameter Clarifiers and Flocculator structure. The work was inclusive of all Civil, Mechanical and Electrical works.

KARACHI ELECTRIC SUPPLY CORPORATION LTD.

Excavation, lifting and disposal of earth at silt disposal pond. The above excavation was a part of a major dredging work at sea water intake Channel of KESC’s Bin Qasim Thermal Power Station. Under the contract a large volume of excavation-disposal work was carried out in a very short time, besides main dredging work. Due to urgency of work, 03 dredgers were deployed in addition to 2 Nos Micro Dredgers, specially required in the Fore-Bay area of the Power Station.

KARACHI ELECTRIC SUPPLY CORPORATION LTD.

Under water Sealing of 12 Nos large Penstock Gates and dewatering of 06 Nos Sea Water Intake Tunnels, up to 10 meters depth below sea water level. The Work was inclusive of complete maintenance of RCC Tunnels with removal of silt and other marine growths. The whole work had to be carried out against heavy sea water lateral pressure.

KORANGI THERMAL POWER STATION KORANGI CREEK.

Dredging-Desilting work at sea water intake channel of Korangi Thermal Power Station. One Cutter Suction & another Horizontal Auger dredger was deployed for dredging the intake channel in the shortest possible time. The work was inclusive of construction of Spoilage Basins and taking of soundings at the start and close of dredging works, through our own Sounding Vessel.

KARACHI ELECTRIC SUPPLY CORPORATION LTD. (KESC)

Consolidation Pressure Grouting, using ‘MONO’ grout technology, for special repair to damaged water treatment unit. Special rehabilitation work was carried out for repair & re-strengthening of damaged RCC structure. The remedial measures were recommended and implemented by “Overseas Constructors” on a “Turn-Key” basis.

BIN QASIM THERMAL POWER STATION . ( KESC LTD ).

Lying of special Acid Resistant Epoxy Floor Screed, followed by acid resistant tiles at acid storage tanks area at Power Station.

Dewatering at Oil Storage Tanks Area. The work was comprising on installation and operation of our own complete dewatering system inclusive of Pumps, well points and ancillary installations & water disposal network.

COOLING WATER INTAKE CHANNEL AT GHARO CREEK.

Sounding & Depth measurement for determination of sediment accumulation in the Sea Water Intake Channel. For this purpose our Sounding Vessel SV-14 was deployed and detailed Cross Sections were prepared at 20 Meters intervals in order to work out the Volume of Sediment accumulation.

SEA WATER CHANNEL DE.KARACHI ELECTRIC SPPLY CORPORATION LTD.

Dredging at Sea Water Supply Channel DE of KESC’s Bin Qasim Power Station. The work was inclusive of construction & mass excavation for a large Spoilage Basin. Pre & Post Dredging Soundings were also carried out using our Sounding Vessel SV-17.

TAMEER-E- KARACHI PROGRAM.KARACHI WATER & SEWERAGE BOARD.

Dredging of KG, K-2, RCC & Baby Canals of Karachi Water & Sewerage Board. Under the specific requirements of work of Dredging in lined canals connected to pumping stations, our special Low Turbidity Horizontal Auger Cutter submerged Pump Dredger was deployed. The Dredger was also made equipped with special sensor devices, for protection of RCC Canal’s lining. Under the Contract a total of around 60 KM lengths of Canals were dredged in the shortest possible time without any interruption to Canal’s flow and 700MGD regular water supply. Due to excessive weed and other aquatic vegetation, special weed cutter attachments were installed with the Dredger.

54 MGD MAURIPUR SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT- III.KARACHI WATER & SEWERAGE BOARD.

Dredging for recovery, safe handling and disposal of sludge from 06 Nos large Anaerobic Lagoons on daily regular basis under a special long term 06 years contract. Our special Horizontal Auger Cutter MUDCAT Dredger was proved to be the best choice under special safety & Environmental control requirements of the Project. The Dredger was also equipped with special Weed cutting & removal attachments. The VMI Auger Cutter Dredger was also used in the dredging of Anaerobic Lagoons.

BIN QASIM THERMAL POWER STATION – KESC LTD.

Dredging of Sea Water Intake Channels DE, & DF - FORE-BAY areas. For above project, our newly acquired Submerged Pump Dredger was deployed. The work was inclusive of dredging very close to the Intake Penstocks and bridge structures, making it a challenging job for Dredger maneuvering.

220 MW COMBINED CYCLE POWER STATION - KORANGI CREEK.

Dredging of Cooling Water Intake Channel originating from Korangi Creek of Arabian Sea. Under the special environmental and other technical requirements of the Contract, our Low Turbidity Submerged Pump Horizontal Auger Cutter Dredger was deployed and successfully dredged a very substantial volume of bed sediments in the shortest possible time. The mass excavation and construction of high embankments for Spoilage Storage Basin were also a part of our Contract.
